Welsh Liberal Democrat Heritage spokesperson, Peter Black has continued to press the Government on the campaign for a dot.cym domain name for Wales.
In this afternoon's Assembly Plenary session Mr. Black requested a statement from the Government on what they are doing to fulfil their One Wales commitment to campaign for the Welsh domain name. "This campaign represents an important way to solidify the presence of the Wales on the internet." said Mr Black. "It would help promote both Wales and Welsh civic society." "I have also submitted a question to the Minister for Economy and Transport asking for an update. This change can only come about through Government support and funding. It is vital that they are on top of their game as it could be another six years before an opportunity presents itself to secure this change." EndsEnds
