The cuts, agreed by the Labour-Plaid Government leave many colleges faced with tough choices: Merging year groups, cutting teaching hours and even making redundancies. The Welsh Liberal Democrats are opposed to these cuts.
We raised a motion in the Senedd on the 11th March in order to urgently address this matter. The motion we tabled was "The National Assembly for Wales calls on the Welsh Assembly Government to re-examine its financial support for post-16 education." (meaning, the Government should think again!)
